In an unexpected match-up, Grammy nominee and renowned singer-songwriter Lana Del Rey has exchanged vows with a swamp tour guide, originally from Louisiana. Reports and exclusive visuals from The Daily Mail showcased the 39-year-old songstress’s wedding ceremony to 49-year-old Jeremy Dufrene. The event took place on Thursday, situated in Des Allemands, Louisiana, southward from New Orleans.
The footage and images showcased the couple tying the knot in an exterior location adjacent to the water, within the local community. Dressed in an elegant white dress, Del Rey complimented Dufrene, who was sporting a classy, dark suit.
Local New Orleans media, nola.com, reported the acquisition of the couple’s marriage license procured three days prior to the wedding ceremony, from the Lafourche parish – Louisiana’s equivalent of a county.
The couple’s ceremony was located near Airboat Tours by Arthur Matherne, where Dufrene is employed, leading explorative tours throughout the swamp’s wild fauna, inclusive of alligators.
Rumours of romance between the pair first circulated in August when they were sighted hand-in-hand at Britain’s Reading Festival. However, it has been suggested that their acquaintance dates back to 2019, supported by Del Rey’s social media posts about a wildlife tour led by Dufrene. The singer also returned to Louisiana for another swamp adventure in May of this year and was sighted again in the region in June, leading to local excitement upon visiting Tic-Toc Cafe, a less-known establishment among non-residents.
Lana Del Rey is primarily recognised for her hit singles such as ‘Video Game’ and ‘Summertime Sadness’.
