Suzuki Hayabusa GSX1300R and Boulevard M109R go to China

Suzuki Motor Corporation arrives in China with its large-displacement models.
The Hamamatsu-based manufacturer has announced the launch of two big bikes in the Chinese market through the joint-venture Jinan Qingqi Suzuki Motorcycle Co.
and commercial subsidiary Suzuki Motor China Investment Co.
In China, the rising incomes and the consequent changing lifestyle of the local population is leading to a different approach to motorcycling, which is progressively turning from mere transportation into thrilling entertainment, and the local market is actully mirroring this evolution.

Suzuki is surely paying attention, responding to this demand with the introduction of two new large displacement models that up until now have been marketed mostly in Europe and North America.
These two bikes are the Hayabusa GSX1300R sportbike and the Boulevard M109R, a sporty custom bike wuth a 1800 cc engine and a pretty original design (known in Europe as the Intruder).
The models will initially be on sale at a dealership in Beijing and two in Shanghai, from which it will progressively be extended in the whole country.
