This Thursday, lengthy periods of balmy sunlight are anticipated, with temperatures potentially soaring to 24 degrees. However, conditions may be slightly cooler on the east coast due to a modest easterly breeze.
Friday’s forecast predicts mostly dry conditions and prolonged bursts of sunshine, just like Thursday. Cloud cover can be expected occasionally on the east coast, making temperatures slightly lower. The highest temperature is estimated to hit 23 degrees, with the coolest temperatures on the east and north-east coasts.
Heading into the weekend, conditions are likely to stay settled before a transition towards more typical autumn weather. From patches of fog and drizzle, Saturday’s weather is expected to start off rather gloomy, particularly in Leinster and Munster. However, Met Éireann’s meteorologist, Linda Hughes, predicts a brighter Saturday afternoon. The caveat is potential heavy showers in the southeast later in the day. Saturday’s peak temperatures are forecasted between 16 to 20 degrees.
On Sunday, clouds will start to gather over the southern areas with rain entering from the east. The rain could turn heavy and possibly even stormy at times. Nevertheless, conditions up north will remain dry with sunny intervals. Sunday’s top temperatures are expected to fluctuate between 15 to 19 degrees.
To start the week, Monday will bring more typical autumnal weather with early morning rain. This will quickly clear from the south, making way for a largely dry day, composed of a blend of showers and patches of sunshine.
