“Sunday Night Thunderstorm Warning Issued”

Two weather alerts have been issued by Met Éireann for Sunday evening. An orange level thunderstorm warning is effective for counties Donegal, Sligo, and Leitrim from midnight to 4am on Monday. Concurrently, a yellow thunderstorm warning for Munster is in place until 9pm on Sunday evening.

Furthermore, a yellow rainfall alert has been established for counties Cavan, Donegal, Monaghan, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Connacht, Longford, Louth, Meath, Offaly, and Westmeath. This warning is to remain in effect from 10pm till 7am.

A yellow thunderstorm warning remained in effect until 9pm for counties Clare, Cork, Galway, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, and Waterford.

Thunderstorm warnings for Sunday night may lead to challenging travel scenarios.
Max temperatures might hit 25 degrees before a nationwide rain warning goes into effect. Ireland’s weather forecast indicates a balmy and moist weekend with temperatures reaching 25 degrees on Sunday.

Irish holidaymakers in Barcelona have reported feeling temperatures of 46 degrees even though the official measurement was 36 degrees.

The forecaster raised the possibility of localised flooding, challenging travel conditions, and reduced visibility in the impacted regions.

In addition, there’s a yellow storm warning for Northern Ireland from midnight to 7am Monday.

Rain is expected to sweep north-eastward across the country on Sunday night, with temperatures varying between 13 and 16 degrees. Monday is likely to present a shift in weather, with sunshine and temperatures ranging from 18 to 22 degrees set to prevail. For the remaining part of the following week, daytime temperatures ranging from 16 to 22 degrees are expected, with predominantly dry conditions anticipated until Thursday, when the weather may become more unsettled.
