Dear Editor,
Not long ago, I underwent a minor surgery at the South Infirmary Victoria University Hospital in Cork as a daytime patient from the public section. The experience was made extremely pleasant due to the excellent and compassionate service provided by all staff members, from the catering team right up to the consultants. The noticeable camaraderie and lighthearted exchanges among the staff was indeed a delight to witness.
