Bruce Springsteen will be taking his musical talents to Nowlan Park, Kilkenny, this Sunday, marking the second of his concert series around Ireland. Following an extraordinary performance at Belfast’s Boucher Road Playing Fields on Thursday, of which Stuart Bailie gave a five-star review, labelling it an exceptional tribute to friends passed and “things that leave us, and what remains”, as Springsteen eloquently expressed.
The Boss, as he’s known, has an upcoming show at Páirc Uí Chaoimh in Cork, scheduled for Thursday, May 16th and will conclude his Irish sprint at Dublin’s Croke Park on Sunday, May 19th. Over the previous 12 months, Springsteen has successfully sold 350,000 tickets in Ireland, and an impressive one million since his entrance on the Irish musical scene at Slane Castle, Co Meath, in 1985.
Though tickets for his show are officially all claimed, the promoter Aiken has confirmed that a limited number still remain on Ticketmaster with prices at $161.25 for seated spaces and $136.25 for standing ones. It is strongly suggested to purchase tickets only from recommended vendors. The Hebron and O’Loughlin Roads’ ticket office will begin operations from 2pm on Sunday.
At O’Loughlin Road, Nowlan Park is situated – the local hurling team’s home base in the city. The Park features two sheltered stands, a stage at one end and a terrace at the opposite end.
Springsteen and his ensemble will be hitting the stage at exactly 7pm after the venue opens its doors at 5pm. The show is expected to run for approximately three hours without an opening act.
The musical legend frequently surprises fans with his choice of songs, sometimes even selecting from placards fans have held up in the audience. At his previous gig in Belfast he played “No Surrender”.

Venue Entry Provisions:
Transfer your tickets from your Ticketmaster account to your iPhone wallet/Google Pay wallet well before the show’s scheduled day. Snapshots or hard copies of digital tickets are not acceptable.
Individuals below 14 are restricted entry to the standing/pitch section and are only permitted entry to the seating sections.
Any individual below 16 should be accompanied by an adult (18 or above). Entry for those under 14 is possible only with seating tickets, as they will not be admitted to pitch/standing areas.
Entry is not permitted for children below six years of age. Each individual stepping into the stadium should furnish a valid ticket.
Is it possible for one to line up at the venue ahead of time?
Regrettably, early lineup is disallowed. We urge those in possession of tickets to kindly consider the privacy of local residents and businesses.
What objects may, or may not, be taken into the concert area?
Objects which are not allowed comprise flag rods, selfie poles, banner staffs, plus items such as umbrellas, high-grade cameras with removable lenses, recording instruments, bottles, glass receptacles, cans, thermoses, flares, laser gadgets, strollers, inflatable or foldaway chairs. Attendees are recommended not to bring bags unless absolutely needed. Fast-tracking facilities will be available for those without bags.
Can I exit and reenter the venue throughout the day?
Sadly, no. Once you exit the venue on the day of the show, reentry will not be granted.
What is the weather forecast for that day?
Showers are expected on Sunday evening. Although the temperature will hover around 13 degrees, it may feel slightly colder. Please dress appropriately as the concert is an outdoor event and the weather may be unfavourable.
