“Springsteen Cancels Dates Due to Vocal Issues”

Due to vocal complications, Bruce Springsteen, the 74-year-old American singer, has been compelled to postpone a number of performances. Sunderland’s Stadium of Light had previously hosted him and his E Street Band, where harsh weather conditions, particularly wetness, were acknowledged by Springsteen. He recently recognised his fanbase amidst the harsh weather during his speech at the Ivor Novello Awards in London, where he performed “Thunder Road” after Sir Paul McCartney awarded him the Ivor Academy fellowship.

This honour distinguished Springsteen as the first international songwriter to be inducted before the actual ceremony. However, he had to defer a performance in Marseille due to his vocal troubles, as announced in his Instagram post. The post further stated that after detailed analysis, doctors advised him to refrain from performing for the forthcoming 10 days.

In light of this, his European stadium tour now plans to recommence in Madrid on June 12th. Additionally, performances at the Airport Letnany in Prague (originally slated for May 28th) and the San Siro Stadium in Milan (originally scheduled for June 1st and 3rd) are necessitated to be deferred. New dates for these shows will be unveiled soon.

Meanwhile, those who desire a refund can procure it from the original point of sale. Though Springsteen rests comfortably, he and the E Street Band are eager to restart their largely successful European tour in the majestic Civitas Metropolitan in Madrid on June 12th.

Springsteen has a history of rescheduling shows, having had to do so last year in the US due to illness, and has recently cancelled concerts planned for March 2023 due to unspecified reasons.
