Snyman’s Leinster Debut vs Munster

RG Snyman is set for his maiden home appearance for Leinster, where he’ll face his ex-Munster colleagues in Saturday’s BKT URC clash at Croke Park. The kick-off is at 5.45pm, and Snyman will join forces with James Ryan after an ankle ailment ruled out Joe McCarthy. The team structure for Leinster also features adjustments from last week’s 35-5 triumph over Treviso, due to injuries. Rónan Kelleher’s replacement is Lee Barron and Liam Turner fills the wing position in place of Jimmy O’Brien, with others such as Jordan Larmour and Tommy O’Brien on the sidelines.

Ciarán Frawley resumes his outhalf duties, with Ross Byrne making a comeback to the bench along with his sibling, Harry. Amongst the substitutes, we also find Gus McCarthy following his departure from the Emerging Ireland squad. The line-up is completed by the return of Cian Healy, Max Deegan and Luke McGrath, all named on the bench.

The opposition camp, Munster, has their own share of injury concerns with 15 members written off, including Peter O’Mahony. Despite these setbacks, they are bolstered by the recovery of Alex Nankivell and Seán O’Brien, the latter slotted in the wing after his release from the Emerging Ireland journey. The prop position is quite depleted, resulting in Stephen Archer stepping in as tighthead for the incapacitated Oli Jager, and Kieran Ryan being named a substitute from the academy.

As per anticipation, Gavin Coombes returns to the line-up in the number eight spot, supplanting O’Mahony, and Jack O’Donoghue is shifted to blindside. Adding value to their substitutes, Tom Ahern and Ruadhán Quinn return from injury.

The Leinster team features Hugo Keenan, Liam Turner, Garry Ringrose, Jamie Osborne, James Lowe, Ciarán Frawley, Jamison Gibson-Park, Andrew Porter, Lee Barron, Tadhg Furlong, RG Snyman, James Ryan, Jack Conan, Josh van der Flier and captain Caelan Doris.

The reserve players include Gus McCarthy, Cian Healy, Thomas Clarkson, Ryan Baird, Max Deegan, Luke McGrath, Ross Byrne, and Harry Byrne. For Munster, the team consists of players such as Mike Haley, Calvin Nash, Tom Farrell, Alex Nankivell, and Sean O’Brien. Other key participants include Jack Crowley, Craig Casey, Jeremy Loughman, Rory Scannell, and Stephen Archer, along with Jean Kleyn, Tadhg Beirne, Jack O’Donoghue, John Hodnett, and Gavin Coombes. The substitutes for this team are Diarmuid Barron, Kevin Ryan, John Ryan, Tom Ahern, Ruadhán Quinn, Conor Murray, Tony Butler, and Shay McCarthy.
