This recipe will yield six servings and may be prepared for either lunch or dinner. The expected preparation time is approximately 15 minutes. You will require the following ingredients:
– A sliced loaf of white bread
– Softened butter
– Half a kilogram of cream cheese
– Half a lemon for juice
– Black pepper
– One cucumber, required to be peeled into lengthy strips
– Six finely sliced radishes
– A quarter kilogram of smoked salmon
– Chives and edible flowers for garnishing
Begin by lining your loaf tin with baking paper or cling film to facilitate an easy removal process. Following that, take off the crusts from the bread slices while preparing your vegetables simultaneously and set them all aside for use later.
Combine the cream cheese, lemon juice, and a pinch of black pepper. Proceed to spread a thin layer of butter on each slice of bread (to avoid them becoming overly moist from the filling) and follow up with a little spread of the cream cheese. On top of this base, layer your preferred fillings – in this recipe, we will be using cucumber strips and smoked salmon along with a few radish slices.
Complete your loaf with a final slice of bread, cover it, and allow it to chill in the fridge for a few hours to solidify. Upon removal, carefully flip the loaf out of the tin and apply additional cream cheese as though you are icing a cake. Finalise your dish by garnishing with chives and edible flowers. Slice thickly before serving.
