Six Men, Teen in Dublin Attack

Six individuals and one adolescent have been taken into custody, following the rescue of a woman from a flat in Dublin, who was found to be a victim of extreme violence. They are expected to be presented before the magistrate on the approaching Saturday. Still being held under the authority of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, Section 4 at a local Garda establishment in the Dublin region is an additional man, who is in his 40s.

The vicious assault is being investigated by the Gardaí, who regard it as a severe incident of drug-linked intimidation. The female victim has been left with an assortment of ghastly injuries, comprising burns and fractures.

The survivor, a female in her 30s, was emancipated from a flat near Bolton Street in the north-inner city. An evening search for narcotics around 7pm resulted in eight arrests, including seven adult males and one male minor.

The beaten woman received medical attention at the Mater hospital, and has had continued support from its staff and the Gardaí. Despite the fact that none of her injuries were fatal, they were the consequence of an extended violent experience and it’s believed that some wounds might necessitate surgical procedures.
