“Simone Gannon’s Favourite Everlasting Tinted Moisturiser”

Introduced approximately three years ago, this particular product quickly became a staple in my beauty routine, despite my tendency to sit back and observe before diving into new items. The allure of new products often fades, replaced by those tried-and-tested favourites that always deliver – like this one, which I’m about to present to you.

On a recent Instagram post, I discussed the Sculpted by Aimee Tint and Glow Skin Enhancer, retailing at €26 on their official website. My cosmetics drawer is never without a tube of this product; I make a point of purchasing a new one before my current tube diminishes completely. Why? It fundamentally boosts my skin’s appearance in an instant, leaving me feeling vibrant and luminous. It never lets me down; it’s equivalent to a well-love, snug jumper in make-up form.

Tint and Glow outperforms for several reasons, with these prominent – its lushly blendable, skin-focused, lightweight formula, its irresistibly radiant finish, and an impressive list of ingredients. Available in 20 variants, this product caters to a wide range of skin tones.

The ingredients in Tint and Glow aren’t forgotten in a vague “beneficial for your skin” remark, like most tinted moisturisers. This is an unfair generalization for such a product that emphasises skincare as a key feature. Expectedly, its formula contains moisturising agents such as hyaluronic acid and glycerin commonly seen in this type of product.

Yet, this product goes a step beyond the norm by including potent antioxidants like niacinamide, known for its anti-inflammatory and skin-protective properties. It also comprises Ectoin, a potent hydration-boosting ingredient promoting skin barrier protection, and Madecassoside, famed for its soothing and healing capabilities. Essentially, this product rounds up essential components your skin requires to ensure balance, comfort, and hydration, even before discussing its coverage or finish.

The company’s website portrays Tint and Glow as offering “a light coverage that delivers the ultimate glow on the skin”. While I concur with this depiction, I’d argue that it provides a touch more than light coverage, even bordering on medium coverage, and then some.

With Simone Gannon’s guide to maintaining a good skincare routine, Tint and Glow stands out as a remarkable all-in-one product. Its versatility is unparalleled, as it can reduce acne, scars, dry patches, and uneven skin tone within a few moments. No need for an instruction manual – simply use your fingers, a sponge or a brush to apply the product and see the breathtaking results. It gives you that ‘you look amazing’ glow. The user experience is undeniably pleasurable; the texture is buttery and smooth, giving you a sensation of a skin-enhancing embrace.

As it also includes SPF30, this product is ideal for use on a daily basis, especially in the sunnier seasons owing to its handy pocket-size structure. My intention is to keep using it throughout the summer and even beyond.

Turning to my current favourite skincare product, The Ordinary’s Salicylic Acid 2% Masque holds a special place in my heart. This €15.20 50ml mask, available at theordinary.com, is what I turn to more frequently during those months when my T-zone tends to get oilier. I’ve fondly dubbed it as “the blackhead eraser” because it does exactly that. Just apply a generous amount to areas that need attention, leave it on for about 10 minutes (or less if you have sensitive skin), then rinse off with warm water to see your blackheads vanish.
