“Simone Gannon: My Favourite Newly Released Beauty Items”

Nars continues to capitalise on the popularity of its Laguna-themed products, a range that was sparked by the universally loved bronzer. The latest addition to this series is the Ultimate Laguna Palette priced £55 at Brown Thomas. This all-encompassing palette includes diverse versions of the celebrated bronzer, a glowing champagne highlight and four eyeshadows, varying from a warm matte brown to a rose gold shimmer. Every colour is richly pigmented, easily blendable and suitable for all make-up abilities, offered in Light-Medium and Medium-Deep shade variations. However, this product is only available for a short time.

Chanel has developed the luxurious No 1 De Chanel Revitalizing Eye Serum – a rejuvenating eye serum priced £75 at Brown Thomas. This formulation incorporates a unique, rotating applicator to evenly distribute the weightless, gel-like serum along the delicate area under eyes; effectively reducing puffiness, soothing and moisturising. The formula aims to combat signs of fatigue and includes red camellia extract, a powerful component synonymous with the brand. This enriching, lavish product may prove irresistible to limit to a twice daily regime.

Included are the following opinion pieces by Simone Gannon: ‘Standout New Beauty Products,’ ‘The Costly Convenience of High-Street Mole Scanning Services,’ ‘Holiday Skincare Must-Haves,’ ‘Effective, Low-Maintenance Facial Treatment,’ and ‘Poco Beauty Cheek Haze.’

Poco Beauty, a brand established by Pippa O’Connor in 2023, is speedily launching new products. Its fresh product, Cheek Haze, a vibrant array of five blushes from pocobeauty.com for €23, boasts a unique formula. Initially, it seems to be a powder, but transforms into a silky cream with a swipe, infusing a lively shade on the cheekbones. The colours range from Azalea Bloom, my personal preference of striking bluish-pink, to a bright light coral, Wild Cosmos.

Gucci’s latest scent, Flora Gorgeous Orchid Eau De Parfum (50ml for €116 from Boots), can only be described as “delicious”. It is a sweet and enchanting fresh fragrance, mimicking your favourite pudding captured in a beautifully packaged perfume. This particular perfume, with creamy vanilla notes mixed with subtle, cool marine accents, adds a modern, irresistible twist to Gucci’s classic collection of floral gourmand fragrances. If you find yourself attracted to powdery, sugar-filled scents with a hint of fresh vanilla, this perfume will delight you.

Another company prominent for its frequent introductions is Pixi Beauty. Many new items have landed on my desk in recent months, but the Pixi On-The-Glow Superglow Highlighter (€23.50 from Boots) caught my attention instantly. These easy-to-use highlighter sticks, with their smart twist-up design, are enjoyable and easy to work with. Just glide them over your cheekbones, cupid’s bow and other facial high points for a non-sticky, luminescent sheen. It comes in two shades: Original and Rose Gold.

Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Lip Oil.

To commemorate the Fenty Beauty roll-out at Brown Thomas, the brand has unveiled a special edition range known as Bronze All Ova. Included in the range is one of the most splendid lip oils I’ve ever come across. The Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Lip Oil (£20.50 at Brown Thomas) is a superb blend of gel and oil that imparts a non-tacky hydration to the lips, leaving a deeply lustrous, baked finish with a coconut scent – the quintessential quality I seek in a lip oil. Furthermore, it retains its lustre relatively longer after being applied. It comes in a trio of shimmering hues, with my personal preference being Supafine Suga – a transparent yet sparkling gold.

This week, I’ve developed a fondness for… Poco Beauty Skin Flood Plumping Ceramide Water. A new venture from Poco Beauty, now under the skin care bracket. The Skin Flood Plumping Ceramide Water (£31 from pocobeauty.com) embodies a Korean style essence designed to fortify the skin barrier and amplify hydration. After cleansing, gently tap it onto the skin, subsequent to which your regular skincare items can be used. This product makes an excellent addition to any regimen, especially for individuals with dry or parched skin.
