A male individual in Co Down has sustained considerable damage to his leg after falling victim to a shooting. The PSNI is soliciting information pertaining to the event that took place in Bangor during the wee hours of Saturday.
Detective Sergeant Lorraine Dougherty reported that a few moments past midnight, they were alerted that a man had sought medical help for a bullet injury on his leg. She stated their belief that the man who was subject to the assault had been strolling in the vicinity of Ganaway Walk mere moments prior to the incident. The sufferer has incurred substantial harm to his leg as a result of the attack.
Moreover, she stated that their investigations into the event have just begun and they are inviting anyone with knowledge about the incident to get in touch.
