Scotland Yard: Petra Srncova’s death is “not questionable”

A colleague notified the police that Petra was missing after didn't come to work. It has been expressed as very “out of character” for her.

Petra Srncova, a senior nursing assistant discovered dead in a park two weeks after she faded. On Monday, Scotland Yard said, “Her death is being feted as unexplained but initial investigations indicate the cases are not suspicious.

Even though Srncova’s death is not questionable, a post-mortem investigation will take place in due course.

Srncova’s body was found by children

The body was discovered by a group of children who were playing in Brunswick Park in Camberwell, southeast London. They located the body at about 11.40 am on Sunday.

While the body has not yet been formally recognised, the Metropolitan Police spoke Miss Srncova’s family in the Czech Republic had been “notified of this development”.

Srncova’s last seen

The Metropolitan Police said Petra exited the hospital at 7.45 pm on November 28. It is thought she carried money out of a cashpoint before getting on two buses. She was last caught in the Camberwell area, where she lives, at 8.22 pm. After that, a colleague reported her missing on December 3.

The Metropolitan Police said a man arrested in relation to her disappearance earlier this week had been discharged from detention pending further investigations.
