Scot Racing Moto2 Bike on Display at Valencia

Several Moto2 prototype bikes that will be running in next year’s new series are on display at Valencia this weekend and one of them is from Scot Racing Team.
Called GP209, the team designed their own Moto2 bike.
It has a Frame GP209, CBR 600 Honda engine, Showa suspensions, Brembo brakes, Marchesini rims, Arrow exhaust, Acerbis saddle and Motoart fairing.

Emanuele Ventura, Scot Racing Team’s technical director and project leader:“The idea, the project, the making of the prototype, the development of the bike, the long and demanding setting up, has seen a cooperation between the team itself and Rapid Inside NCS, a firm from Carpi (Italy).
The bike sums up all the experience gained by the team in the 250 and MotoGP Championships.
We opted for this solution – designing our own Moto2 instead of buying one from a factory – because, although more demanding, allowed us to make use of our competencies.
At the same time, we’ll be able to be ultra-quick if radical changes should be required.
“The frame is totally adjustable, as far as centre of gravity and any offset are concerned.

Our target is to develop a well-balanced bike, competitive on any circuit, instead of one performing only in ideal conditions.
The bike is ready to hit the track, even though some specifications, such as the aerodynamics aren’t definitive yet”.
