SBK: Tom Sykes further lowers lap times in FP2 at Donington

The track temperatures at Donington for the second and final free practice were much higher than this morning’s and once Tom Sykes was the fastest rider.
The British Kawasaki rider stoppd the clock in 1.

330, almost four tenths of second faster and on used tires which puts him in position to take still another Superpole later this afternoon.

While Sykes was the only rider in QP2 to break the 1.
29 barrier, in FP2 four others were able to rider under the mark, Marco Melandri, an impressive Jonathan Rea who moved up to third and was just 0.

Eugene Laverty also moved up and finished ahead of team mate Sylvain Guintoli.
The Aprilia duo were 4th and 5th respectively.
Althea’s Davide Giugliano was 6th fastest and right behind the two factory Aprilia’s, while Leon Camier was unable to improve because he crashed out at turn 11 at the start of the session which dropped him to 7th, but he was still ahead of Loris Baz, Chaz Davies and Michel Fabrizio who closed out the top ten again, even if he improved four tenths of a second.
