Sarah McNally’s Boyfriend Formally Indicted

The formal indictment of Sarah McNally’s boyfriend, Marcin Pieciak, who is suspected of her murder in New York, has been announced by a Grand Jury. Sarah McNally was from Longford and her life tragically ended in a violent incident at her workplace, a bar in Queens, where she was stabbed.

Pieciak, a 36-year-old resident of Glendale, Queens, on 76th Street, was also injured with multiple self-inflicted stab wounds in the unfortunate event. Currently, he is absent from the proceedings at Queens County Criminal Court, as he is still admitted in hospital, according to his legal counsel, Garnett Sullivan.

The suspect is charged with second-degree murder and possession of a weapon in the fourth degree, twice. If convicted, he stands to receive a life sentence of up to 25 years in prison. It’s projected that Pieciak’s next court appearance will be on the 19th of April, when a plea entry is expected from him.

A short time after being stabbed in the neck, McNally succumbed to her injuries at Elmhurst Hospital. Her funeral is to be held at St Mel’s Cathedral in the town of Longford, followed by cremation. McNally is grieved by her parents Dorrie and Des, grandmother Kathleen O’Connor, and a large circle of family and friends from Longford and New York.

In lieu of flowers, the Mcnally’s are asking for donations to the Kevin Bell Trust, an organisation committed to helping bereaved families financially to bring back the bodies of their loved ones who’ve lost their lives in a tragedy overseas.
