Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch, 93, recently tied the knot with Elena Zhukova, a retired marine biologist, in California. This marks Murdoch’s fifth matrimonial venture. The ceremony took place at Murdoch’s own vineyard this past Saturday.
With a seven-decade-long career in media, Murdoch resigned as chairman of News Corp and Fox just last year. His media establishment spans across three continents, involving satellites, broadcasting, print, and even Hollywood production.
Murdoch’s romance with 67-year-old Zhukova started a year ago, following an introduction by his third wife, Wendi Deng, as mentioned in the Daily Mail’s report.
His six-year-long fourth marriage to Jerry Hall, an actress and model, concluded with a divorce in 2022. Hall is also recognised for her long-term relationship with Mick Jagger, the lead singer of the Rolling Stones.
Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that Murdoch was fleetingly engaged to ex-San Francisco police chaplain Ann Lesley Smith last year. Their engagement ended abruptly, with Vanity Fair quoting a source who suggested that Smith’s outspoken evangelistic beliefs had caused discomfort for Murdoch.
