It seems to me bewildering, when RTÉ will cease its incessant attempts to saturate its audience with marketing captions such as “Your public service media” following every advertisement break.
It is farcical to think that programmes like Neighbours, Home and Away, and Spice Girls: How Girl Power Changed Britain truly signify public service telecasting.
A crucial topic of discussion should be to make the RTÉ marketing team aware that these overused, poorly thought-out catchphrases are failing to resonate with the audience – quite the contrary.
