According to Panorama.
it, Valentino Rossi, Dani Pedrosa, Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Dovizioso will all be starring in a short movie to raise funds to rebuild two schools that were destroyed during the two earthquakes that hit Italy’s Emilia region earlier this year.
The idea for the movie came to former rider Gianni Rolando, who is the President of the non profit organization Corpi di Soccorso Internazionale, and the working title for the movie is The Four Muskateers and will be directed by Luca Lucini and produced by Filmgood, while filming has yet to start – they are still scouting locations – with Turin’s Venaria Reale (the residence of the Royal House of Savoy), the Villa Reale in Monza and the Reggia di Caserta, all in pole position) and a release date in Spring 2013 and will be distributed across Europe.
The idea came to former rider Gianni Rolando who is the President of the non profit organization ‘Corpi di Soccorso Internazionale’, and joining the our four GP muskateers (who will be D’Artagnan, Athos, Aramis, and Porthos?) on the set of the twenty minute movie (plus 20 minutes of backstage footage) will be other riders from MotoGP and Moto2 (Stefan Bradl, Alex de Angelis ect.
and hopefully the one and only super funny Colin Edwards).
Most of the riders have some acting experience because of commercials, or have starred in Yamaha USA’s hilarious Laguna Seca promotion videos, but only a few have actually been in a mini movie and that is Andrea Dovizioso and Alex de Angelis who were both in Per un Pugno di Copertoni (For a Fistful of Tires) several year’s ago and now has become a rare collector’s item.
While Jorge Lorenzo has actually appeared in a Spanish fictional drama show called Aquila Roja playing a donkey racer and he also dubbed in Spanish the talking computer in Tron: Legacy.
