Roses on Sunday at the Pantheon in Rome

In this beautiful video of the Pantheon in Rome, we can see Domenica delle Rose, or Rose Sunday.
The ancient Christian rite that dates back to the 7th century has been adopted in modern times since 1995, and now each Pentecost, five firefighters from Rome let rose petals fall from the Oculus Dei hole in the Pantheon ceiling.

The rose petals symbolise the coming of the Holy Spirit and in the video above, you can see this year’s “Rose Sunday” in Rome.
The superb singing also adds to the sacredness of this event.
