Ringrose Set for Leinster’s URC Quarter-Final

Centre player for Ireland, Garry Ringrose, is preparing to make a comeback for Leinster during their upcoming match against Ulster in the URC quarter-final (KO 5pm, televised on TG4 and Premier Sports), following a hiatus due to a shoulder injury. Having missed the province’s Champions Cup final against Toulouse, his innovative skills were noticeably absent. Now, he is back at training again and Leo Cullen will be relieved to have him back as they set their eyes on securing a trophy by the season’s end.

Ringrose’s shoulder problem, which originally developed during a glorious Champions Cup win against Leicester on January 20, constrained his contributions to Ireland’s triumphant Six Nations crusade. This injury episode also meant he missed out on playing for Leinster since the final stage of that campaign, where Ireland triumphed over Scotland, due to recurring complications with that injury.

Following a precautionary withdrawal over the weekend, Jack Conan’s situation will be evaluated further in the days leading up to the weekend selection. On the other hand, Tommy O’Brien won’t be part of the selection as he recovers from a hamstring injury he incurred over the weekend, thus making him commence a rehabilitation period.
