“RFK Jr May Quit Presidential Race”

Reports have surfaced suggesting that Robert F Kennedy Jr, an independent candidate in the United States presidential election, might end his candidacy by the week’s closure. Furthermore, it’s speculated that Kennedy may offer his support to Donald Trump, the preceding Republican president, according to insiders, ABC News reported this Wednesday.

Kennedy’s campaign made a statement earlier in the day stating he would deliver a speech to the nation from Arizona this Friday. There, he will discuss the present state of the nation and his future path. An ABC News correspondent posted on X stating they’d questioned Kennedy on the potential endorsement of Trump. Kennedy, however, did not confirm or deny it. His reaction was, “We are not discussing any of that.”

Earlier, Kennedy’s running mate, Nicole Shanahan, suggested he might discontinue his campaign to ally with Trump, the Republican presidential nominee. On Wednesday, Kennedy was in a Long Island legal proceeding, battling a Democrat-backed challenge to prevent his appearance on New York’s ballot for a second time.

Trump, in a conversation with CNN, showed his openness to Kennedy’s role in his administration, should the independent contender withdraw from the election and endorse him.

Kennedy, 70, who’s the son of late Democrat Robert F Kennedy and the nephew of late president John F Kennedy, initiated his presidential campaign as a Democrat, setting himself against President Joe Biden for the nomination.

Kennedy, an environmental champion infamous for spreading vaccine misinformation, has yet to secure his place on the ballot in numerous states.

According to an Ipsos poll conducted this month, his support has dipped to 4 per cent from the previous month’s 10 per cent.
