Dear Sir/Madam,
Ukraine recently halted the consular services for its male citizens of military age situated overseas so as to compel their repatriation and induction into military service, as reported on April 23rd.
Simultaneously, their counterparts within Ukraine have been barred from travelling overseas since the commencement of the conflict.
In times of warfare, it is often observed that men lose their individual liberties and are instead considered as a state resource, caged and driven towards battle due to their “obligations towards the state”.
