Micron has announced the arrival of new GP-Sport silencers for the Honda CBR1000RR 2008.
The MotoGP-style silencers were launched last year and in 2006 won the MCN best product awards – they’ve become famous for increasing performance and their innovative look.
The GP-Sport silencers for the CBR1000RR are part of a new line constructed with hydro-form technology which adapt it perfectly to the shape of the motorcycle.
The new silencer substitutes the original and is exclusively produced by Micron, adapted to the Fireblase and available in three finishes: shiny steel, brushed silver and ceramic black.
The new Micron exhaust reduces weight by 2.
6 kg, and increases power by 3.
5hp to 7,500rpm, with an extra 2.
7Nm of torque.
The GP-Sport is BSAU1983/T3 approved for road use and reduces noise as per the original silencer.
Removing the silencer still adheres to norms regarding noise on the track, producing only 97dB at 5,500 revs.
The brushed silver version is available at about 564 euros, while the black and steel versions can be purchased for 658 euros.
