Randy de Puniet confirms talks with Suzuki

When PTR’s Simon Buckmaster said “the new Suzuki MotoGP test rider Randy de Puniet” we were left scratching our heads and wondering how much truth was behind the statement, but apparently Buckmaster was close, but not exactly right, as De Puniet still hasn’t gotten the job quite yet, but he has confirmed he is in talks with the Japanese manufacturer.

According to mcn.
com a deal between the French rider and Suzuki could soon be signed which could see him heading the development of Suzuki’s 2014 comeback MotoGP project, even though he has a full-time ride with Aspar’s CRT team in 2013.
“We just need to wait and see what is the Suzuki plan and to understand where and when the tests will be.
But this could be a very good opportunity for me to be back on a prototype bike and to develop a factory machine.
I really hope this will happen,” said de Puniet to the British website.
