Dear Editor,
An exquisite assortment of age-old timepieces held by Waterford’s noteworthy Irish Museum of Time is truly a mesmerising spectacle. Nevertheless, the task of altering the time on the 600 clocks twice annually feels enormously tedious. The meticulous person within me proposes that the museum could divide this collection of clocks into two distinct parts, aptly named ‘Spring’ and ‘Autumn’. It would indeed create a pleasant atmosphere if the soft strains of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons could reverberate in the background. Most importantly, those responsible for winding the clocks definitely ought to offer input on the finer aspects, and second viewpoints should be taken into consideration to maintain equity.
Yours sincerely,
Patrick Judge,
