it has sent us some spy photo of a new or upcoming model, and this time around the subject of these pics is the beautiful Porsche 918 Spyder, which will be officially introduced to the world at the imminent 2012 Paris Motor Show.
Here’s what our reader nicknamed “Paul Earl” had to say about the spotting:“Dear Autoblog, look what I just saw at the Bernina – a district on the italian Alps – in a bright day of August! Seeing the 918 Spyder getting started and leave that dusty little pull-in in electric mode only made quite an impression, but when it got back on the tarmac it just stunningly sprinted away, an that was still on electric power only.
Then the combustion engine came in, and that was really frightening! Bye everyone and keep it up.
”Surely we had seen this car before on some official pic and early spy shots, but it is always nice to get some little extra when it is about a cool car like the Porsche 918 Spyder.

6-litre V8 engine (producing 580 hp), as well as two electric motors, which would deliver an extra 218 hp.
Almost needless to say, the 918 Spyder is the first plug-in hybrid car ever from the legendary German manufacturer.
