Pons 40 HP team to appeal against FIM overturn ruling on Marc Marquez

Pons 40 HP Team that fields Pol Espargaro in Moto2 has decided to appeal in the FIM International Disciplinary Court against yesterday’s overturn ruling that cleared Marc Marquez from the one minute penalty that the Race Direction inflicted on him after his collision with his fellow countryman.
The incriminating incident occured with just three laps to go in the race at turn 10 of the Catalunya circuit when Marquez made a magic save after his bike nearly folded on him, but when he turned back to the racing line he found Espargaro diving in and the two touched causing the Tuenti rider to crash.

Marquez was penalized by the Race Direction several hours after reviewing the incident and talking to the two riders for infringing rule 1.

2, which was later overturned by the FIM Stewards when they received an appeal from Marquezteam.
In a note on the 40 HP Tuenti Pons team’s website states that they are appealing to defend Pol Espargar√≥ in his effort to win the Moto2 championship titel and their rider was harmed by the incident (he sprained his right ankle) and by the ruling of the FIM Stewards.
