Police Detain Individual Following Seizure of Gold Worth 1.4 Million Euros

A male individual was apprehended and authorities confiscated gold valued at €1.4 million in a police action that took place in Dublin. In addition, cash amounting to €460,000 and substances believed to be cocaine worth an estimated €210,000 were also secured. The Dublin Crime Response Team (DCRT) carried out investigative searches of private residences and commercial establishments over the course of Friday and Saturday. A man, aged in his 50s, was detained and remains in custody at a Dublin police station under the 1984 Criminal Justice Act, Section 4.
