Podcast Explores Parenting’s Good, Bad, Ugly

In an audacious move, we made a decision to initiate conversations with renowned individuals about their private affairs – things they would usually prefer to conceal. We wanted to inquire about their peaks and troughs, victories and defeats, all the while surviving the most private yet profound experience of their existence – parenthood.

As our audience avidly engaged with these revealing interviews, showing keen interest in how their favourite celebrities handle the ins and outs of parenting, we decided to venture a step further. Thus, our latest initiative, a podcast named ‘Conversations with Parents’, emerged, with every episode running just over half an hour. Yours truly, Jen Hogan, has the privilege of spearheading this project as your host.

So, why should you tune into ‘Conversations with Parents’? Well, we feature extraordinary and captivating guests in each episode. Every Tuesday, I’ll engage in a dialogue with a celebrity parent, providing you a glimpse into a side of their persona seldom revealed before. We discuss the influence of parenthood on their lives – the pleasurable, the challenging, and the downright messy. We address uncomfortable topics head-on and always make sure to inject a bit of fun into the serious discussions.

We venture into myriad aspects of parenting – from juggling toddlers and intimate moments to handling racism, raising children with special needs, modern-age parenting and more – no topic is off-limits. We aim to shed light on what parenting entails for individuals grappling with varied challenges, and foster dialogues about the beautifully diverse families that constitute today’s society.

We’ve often heard that the communal wisdom that helps raise a child is missing in our times. The essential conversations around parenting are often missing. No matter who you are or what you do, life has a way of knocking you off your feet when parenthood comes into the picture. As such, we invite you to join our virtual community and engage in discussions about the chaotic yet joyous journey of parenting. Even if you’re not a parent and simply interested in exploring other people’s lives, our podcast is open to all!

Commencing on the 8th of October, Tuesday, ‘Conversations with Parents’ reveals its premier conversation featuring radio presenter Brendan O’Connor. We’re eager for you to join in on every moment, thus we encourage you to subscribe, follow, and tune in to ‘Conversations with Parents’ on Spotify, Apple Podcasts or your preferred podcast platform. Make sure you don’t miss anything!
