Italian frame builder Pierobon introduces the upgrade of its own X60R, a fascinating model launched about a year ago and presented as an extreme evolution of the previous F042 concept.
The revamped X60R comes with technology borrowed from the MotoGP world to get the most out of its Desmodue Evolution engine, which is the advanved 1100 cc air-cooled twin unit equipping the Ducati Monster 1100 EVO.
Pierobon is based in Borgo Panigale – and that alone says enough about the existing close relationship between this company and Italian manufacturer Ducati – and the chassis is obviously the strong point of this X60R.
The bike uses a trellis frame made aluminum alloy EN AW-7020 weighing 6.
32 kg (painted in “Rosso Corsa” Red and with adjustable swingarm pivot and steering head), black swingarm of the same material weighing 3.
96 kg, Ohlins 235 DU monoshock, OZ Racing wheels, RT Racing upside-down fork, carbon fiber fairings, 305 mm wave discs at the front and a 245 mm one at the rear, Termignoni exhaust, Pirelli Diablo Superbike PRO tires, AIM digital instrumentation, dedicated wiring harness and EFI ECU.
The slim silhouette of this bike is then completed by a 16-liter aluminum fuel tank.
The Pierobon X60R comes with a particularly aerodynamic bodywork, with the front section of fairing that has been specifically developed to efficiently convey the air flow to the engine.
In this regard, the increased radiator has been integrated in the lower fairing to convey the flow of air into the engine in the most effective way, while air ducts have been carefully design to allow for the maximum air delivery to the pressurised airbox.
It’s possible to order the complete motorcyle or just the kit, which – in combination with other components – would allow you to assemble your own bike by youself.
