Photo of the Day: Scary crash at the 2010 Bol d’Or

Grand Prix Moto2 has been criticized for it’s 40 rider strong grid, but the 74th Edition of the Bol d’Or at the Magny-Cours Nevers circuit saw 57 teams lined up for this weekend’s round of the World Endurance championship.
This spectacular crash happened at the start of the race that involved the #55 Honda of National Motos, the #96 of Qatar Endurance Racing Team and Serbian Racing Team Djamants, the incident saw the Safety Car brought in.

National Motos rider Sébastien Scarnato suffered hip and shoulder injuries, and could not bring the Honda back into the pits and the team had to pull out, as did the QERT team who had their bike was destroyed, but fortunately the rider was okay.
The Suzuki Endurance Racing Team (SERT) with Vincent Philippe, Guillaume Dietrich and Freddy Foray are currently leading the race and you can check out the live timing here.
