“Pedestrian Killed by Motorcycle in Dublin”

A fatal incident occurred on the R139 at Belcamp, Coolock, Dublin 17 on a Wednesday evening where a woman lost her life due to a road accident involving a motorcycle. The victim was a pedestrian woman in her 40s who sustained serious injuries from the collision and was subsequently admitted to Beaumont Hospital. Unfortunately, she later succumbed to her injuries, and a postmortem examination is scheduled to be conducted to determine the cause of death. The motorcyclist escaped the episode unscathed.

At the time of the accident, the R139 at Belcamp was temporarily shut to facilitate a technical investigation by the Forensic Collision Investigators. The road has been reopened since the evaluation was concluded. The Gardaí are urging any eyewitnesses of the accident to come forward.

Individuals who were driving on the R139 at Belcamp, Coolock between 7pm and 7.30pm on Wednesday 19th June 2024 and may have recorded camera footage, especially dash camera recordings, are requested to provide this material to the Gardaí.
