Palazzo Farnese opens its doors to the public

The magnificent Farnese palace in Rome will open its doors to the public on December 17.
Built by the powerful Farnese family in the 16th century, this high-Renaissance palace now houses the French embassy in Italy.
For the first time visitors will have the unique opportunity to see one of the world’s most exclusive art collection and get a closer look at its interior decorations (rooms beautifully frescoed with elaborate allegorical programs including a series of works on Hercules and The Loves of the Gods by Annibale Carracci and other artists).
