Pair in Court Over Quarry Death

A male and female are scheduled to appear in court this morning due to charges related to the unearthing of a male corpse in a quarry in Co Wexford last Sunday. The body of 27-year-old Stephen Ring was located at the remote Carrigfoyle quarry, found in Shelmalier Commons, west of Wexford town. Multiple injuries were evident on Mr. Ring’s body.

The male, in his 40s, and the woman, in her 30s, who have been indicted by Gardaí connected to the case, will appear before the Wexford District Court on Tuesday. Detectives linked to this investigation speculate that Mr. Ring was probably deceased at the time his disappearance was reported two weeks ago.

The Carrigfoyle quarry was at the focus of Gardaí’s searches on Sunday following the receipt of detailed information. The search operations were halted following the location of Mr. Ring’s remains. He was last known to be alive on October 15th, Tuesday, in Wexford town.

Mr. Ring was left at the entrance of Ard na Dara, Clonard, Wexford at approximately 2am on the day he was last known to be alive.
