Padlocks of love at the Trevi Fountain in Rome

Young lovers strike again in Italy with public displays of affection.
Verona might have a balcony, but Rome has padlocks.
The street lamp at Ponte Milvio wasn’t enough and now the tendency has moved to the much more fashionable location of the Trevi Fountain.
To be precise, it’s actually happening on the gate of Chiesa dei Santi Vincenzo e Anastasio where the padlocks have appeared a few metres from the famed fountain.

After writing names on the lock, apparently you then throw the key as a symbol of your love, into the fountain.
