Ossie Kilkenny, a renowned former celebrity accountant, has forfeited his residence at Killiney Hill to Pepper Finance. Nevertheless, the bank has granted him a one-year grace period before eviction to allow for continued negotiations. The resolution was presented to Judge John O’Connor today by barrister Tomas Keys, representing Pepper.
During the Circuit Civil Court’s session, Mr. Keys provided details that the court could issue an agreement order for possession against the Kilkennys for the bank’s benefit. With the comprehensive debt of €2,186,434 in arrears against Lissadrone, Killiney Hill, Killiney, Co Dublin – the Homestead of Osmond and Anna Kilkenny – Mr. Keys suggested that the court must have scrutinized the papers from the protracted case.
He conveyed that constructive communication had transpired amongst the negotiating parties and their legal representatives, leading to the mutual consent on the court’s ruling for Pepper to claim possession of Lissadrone. Moreover, he stressed the harmonious mutual agreement to implement a 12-month halt on the possession order’s enforcement to make way for further discussions.
The court was further informed that it was collectively agreed upon that the Kilkennys would not be burdened with any cost orders. The couple’s attorney confirmed their agreement to these aforementioned court orders.
In an update to the court on the Kilkennys’ mortgage account, Caroline Loftus, senior operations manager for Pepper Finance Corporation, declared in a sworn statement that the outstanding arrears balance on the lapsed mortgage had escalated by €98,000, from €2,088,432 to €2, 186,434 as of November 2nd, 2023.
Mr. Kilkenny (77) and his wife, were not present in court when the possession order was issued. Judge O’Connor executed the orders sought by both parties.
For many years, Mr. Kilkenny had been the accountant for prominent music band U2 and several other musicians. He had business interests in Ardmore Studios and had a stake in various other enterprises.
