In response to the news piece titled, “Gardaí dispatched to Paris as congenial figures through Olympic Games” publicised on July 24th, it’s reassuring to learn that the increased policing, that many are calling for in our local streets, will at least be benefiting the avenues of Paris. This August will see the city being safeguarded by 43 gardaí, a number which might surpass the usual count on Dublin’s O’Connell Street at any specific moment.
