Official 2011 Entry lists for MotoGP, Moto2 and 125cc

The FIM and the MotoGP official website have revealed the 2011 entry list for all three classes.
MotoGP will see a penurious 17 riders on the grid, and we keep asking ourselves whatever happened to the minimum 18 rider grid requirement that MotoGP was supposed to have to retain its world status.
2010 World Champion Jorge Lorenzo will be taking the #1 plate, while his team after having lost Fiat as their title sponsor is at the moment called Yamaha Factory Racing.

Even the Ducati Team seems to have lost its Marlboro sponsor name, at least on the entry list, and strangely enough it doesn’t even appear on the Ducati MotoGP sponsor and partner page.
Moto2 despite losing two teams, Jack&Jones by Antonio Banderas and Holiday Gym Racing, the grid is still 38 rider strong, with some big and interesting shuffling between the teams.
There’s also the entry of former World Superbike rider Max Neukirchner, which we already knew and that Scottish rider Kev Coghlan after two wildcard rides last season, gets a fulltime job with Motorsport 69 which we didn’t know about.

The 125 cc class will see Taylor McKenzie, son of Niall, debut on the world scene, along with Indian rider Sareth Kumar, Niklas Ajo, son of Aki, owner and manager of Ajo Motorsports, and the already much talked about Paris Hilton team with Spanish champion Maverick Vinales and the new Indian Mahindra racing team.
