Nourishment for the Mind

Dear Sir,

To my surprise, the last critiques of Corinna Hardgrave, specifically “Peploe’s restaurant review: No trends and fads, just confident French bistro fare that keeps the patrons coming back”, posted in the Food column on the 10th of October, left me feeling somewhat sombre.

Rather than mulling over the splendid French cuisine, my attention was drawn to the underlying notion of the frosty attitude towards women of mid-age, who apparently are relegated to “Siberia”. Meanwhile, the “balayage brigade” seem to relish in the superior seats.

Could it be possible that, just like me, she has been recently influenced by watching “The Substance” featuring Demi Moore? – Yours faithfully,

Aoife Geary,
Stoneybatter, Dublin 7.
