Nicky Hayden’s GP12 test hampered by cold and wet Mugello

Mini-cyclones Lucy and Maddalena that are currently lashing the Ligurian and Tyrrhenian coasts of Italy threw a wrench in Nicky Hayden’s first day of private testing at Mugello.
The Italian circuit was hit cold temperatures and beating rain that hindered the American’s progress, even if he was able to turn a few laps in the wet during the afternoon session.

Hayden and the Ducati test team is officially at Mugello to make up for the pre-season testing time he lost due to his previous injuries and carry out set-up tests that he wasn’t able to complete prior to the start of the season, besides being in Italy to do some promo work at the Dainese store in Bologna on April 23rd.
Ducati will complete their third and final day testing (Hayden’s second) tomorrow, but the weather forecast for the Barberino del Mugello area gives more rain, below average temperatures and wind.
