New Kawasaki VN1700 2009

2009 will see a new Kawasaki series emerge, as the company announces the entrance of the new VN1700 on the market.
It inherits the VN1600 tradition, with a new powerful 1700cc engine, with some impressive agility and attention to detail.
The engine is similar to the VN2000, but with SOHC (single overhead cam) rather than the OHV push-rod system.

Compared to the VN1600 model, this gives it some added torque and power.
The bike also includes the first ever appearance of a electronic throttle valve on a Kawasaki, along with new six-speed overdrive transmission and carbon fibre final drive belt.
The new chassis is lighter and more compact than previous models.
The bike’s manoeuvrability and agility is improved with updated suspension.
Attention has been given to the look and comfort of the bike, with adjusted handle-bar positions.
