“Murder Charges for Bristol Suitcase Bodies”

A 34-year-old man, identified as Yostin Andres Mosquera of Scotts Road, has been officially charged with the murder of two individuals. The victims’ bodies were discovered in suitcases in Bristol, as confirmed by the police. Mr. Mosquera is due to face the charges in Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Monday as he remains in custodial care.

The deceased have been identified as Mr. Albert Alfonso, aged 62, and Mr. Paul Longworth, 71 years old. Mr. Longworth was a British national while Mr. Alfonso, originally from France, had successfully attained British citizenship.

The police have confirmed that both victims were in a relationship formerly and retained a shared residence, a flat on Scotts Road, Shepherd’s Bush area in west London. It is also known that both men were acquaintances of their accused murderer, Mr. Mosquera, who had briefly lived with them at their Scotts Road home.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner Andy Valentine expressed deepest sympathies for Albert and Paul’s immediate circle as they cope with this devastating incident. Valentine noted that, despite the absence of any immediate family for either victim, other relatives have been identified, informed, and guided by expert officers. The team continues to pursue the discovery of any distant family members.

The unsettling incident has caused distress not just in the Shepherd’s Bush community but also among the wider LGBTQ+ society across London. Valentine assured that, even though investigations are still underway and at an initial stage, the police are not currently on the hunt for any other individual in relation to the double murder case. – PA
