Motorised mechanism that raises numberplate

This week we’ve been looking at fines in Italy for motorcycling infringements.
Riding with the number plate up is an old trick used by riders to escape speed cameras – but some have even gone beyond that.
A rider, discovered by road patrol police, had actually installed an automatic mechanism with a control on the handle, that would raise the number plate on command.

A genius mechanism, but completely illegal, that you can see in the below video.
The cunning rider had his circulation papers confiscated and received a painful fine.
