MotoGP Mugello FP2 a complete washout as Dovizioso takes the lead

After this morning’s sunny FP1 at Mugello, the weather took a turn for the worse and it began drizzling during the 125cc practice (Sergio Gadea got the top spot) wetting the track and leaving it damp enough for the MotoGP riders to take their time about going out immediately and then only handful of them deciding to get in any real lap time.

Of the twelve riders who eventually took to track in the mixed conditions, Andrea Dovizioso got in the best time of 1’49.
272 followed by Toni Elias who was over 2.
6s slower, while Ducati fixed the electronic/electrical issues on both Valentino Rossi’s GP11.
1, where one his bike had a short circuited wire and on the second bike had a problem with the ECU.
Rossi was third and 3.
278s off pace.
Casey Stoner, Marco Simoncelli, Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa all decided to sit this one out.
