MotoGP, Moto2 and Moto3 2012 provisional entry lists

FIM has released today the 2012 provisional entry lists for all three GP classes.
In MotoGP, as expected there will be 21 riders: 12 riders between factory and satellite machines and 9 CRT entries with Aprilia RSV4 engines and with all probability an Aprilia made chassis’ playing the lion’s part in more than a third of the entries.

Casey Stoner will be taking the #1 plate, Jorge Lorenzo will be reverting back to his 99, while Stefan Bradl has opted to race with with #6, having to drop his number his #65 when it was retired to honor Loris Capirossi.

Gresini Racing who has yet to officially confirm his riders, but Gino Rea and Ratthapark Wilairot are listed as his Moto2 riders.
Elena Rosell is also listed with QMMF Racing.
Alexander Lundh will be debuting in Moto2, while Roberto Rolfo is returning after spending a season in WSBK.
Since Stefan Bradl won the Moto2 championship with Kalex chassis, this has become the choice for 8 riders.
The Suter and FTR have become slightly less popular dividing the grid with 8 and 7 bikes respectively.

Several Italian and Spanish stars from their respective CIV and CEV championship will be making their debuts in this series, but they’ll have to contend the title against the highly tooted 2011 Rookie of the Year, Maverick Vinales.
As for the bikes, here the Honda NSF250R is the big dominator with 15 bikes.
KTM takes second place with 5 of their own complete bikes and 4 Kalex’s with KTM engines.
