MotoGP Misano: Dani Pedrosa dominates free practice

Dani Pedrosa’s dominating MotoGP win at Indianapolis has carried over to the first free practice at Misano Adriatico where the Respol Honda topped the timesheets with a best lap of 1′34.

While the Repsol Honda team took the first two positions, the Fiat Yamaha duo Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi were third and fourth with Rossi less than a tenth from a frustrated Lorenzo and Rossi was the last rider within a second from Pedrosa.
The Yamaha Tech3 duo Colin Edwards and Ben Spies (who won WSBK race 1 at Misano last year) took the fifth and sixth spots and they were followed by the Marlboro Ducati duo Nicky Hayden and Casey Stoner, in seventh and eighth respectively.
Marco Melandri finished in ninth while Loris Capirossi rounded out the top ten.
