MotoGP: HRC ready to provide Valentino Rossi with a RC213V for 2013

The grid of the MotoGP class for 2013 is yet to be defined, and this is the part of the year when rumors regarding the future of the riders whose fate has not yet been defined usually intensify.
Valentino Rossi is obviously the hottest topic as he’s the only Top Rider whose future hasn’t been clarified yet, and it seems that not a day goes by without new rumors and assumptions coming to light.

In the wake of what spanish website motocuatro reported yesterday about an official Yamaha dream team with both Rossi and Lorenzo and Philip Morris as main sponsor, now it is HRC boss Shuhei Nakamoto’s turn to add a new chapter to the most hyped MotoGP saga of the summer.
“I would really like to work with Valentino – said Nakamato in some recent statements collected by the Italian press – When he was racing with Honda I was involved with the Formula 1 program, so the only time I could see him racing with our bike was at the 8 Hours of Suzuka.
It was not possible to put Rossi in out official team, but I’m willing to give him a factory bike in one of our satellite teams.

”Nakamoto’s words really sound like Honda has just thrown away the mask, basically formalizing the japanese carmaker willingness to take back Rossi within its ranks in a situation that would be very reminiscent of the 2000 season, the year Rossi debuted in GP Racing top class, when his team was formally separated from the official HRC squad but was running the same Honda NSR500.
Well, this is the latest update on the rumors about Rossi, but we will be waiting for the next installment.
Actually, since former Yamaha boss is currently ‘on vacation’ in Italy, you can bet we will not have to wait that long.
The final decision on Rossi’s future, which will eventually put an end to these rumors, is expected to be revealed at either Laguna Seca or Brno.
