Jorge Lorenzo who lead the only two practice sessions this weekend, was third after pipping Ben Spies by 0.

These four riders were separated by less than a second, with an all Italian group taking up the next three positions, Marco Simoncelli, Andrea Dovizioso and Marco Melandri.
Eighth went to Aleix Espargaro who will be in Moto2 next season, with the Pons Kalex team, followed by Nicky Hayden in ninth and second in this afternoon’s starting grid, while Randy de Puniet closed out the top ten.
